As a nursing assistant or nurse aide, you will offer patients compassion and patience while assisting them with day-to-day life tasks such as dressing, bathing and feeding. You may also support doctors and nurses in diagnostic procedures and technical treatments. Certified nursing assistants or nurse aides (CNAs) also typically assist in patient charting and instruction, documenting any care that is given and report significant observations to the nursing staff. Nursing assistants enjoy solid job security and frequently work a flexible schedule. Typical work environments include long-term care facilities, hospitals, clinics and in the home.

The NA program is quick, thorough, current and relevant with courses that offer you great experience and the ability to get into the health care field in just 5 weeks, rather than 3 - 4 months.
The hybrid class gives students much more flexibility in their busy schedule to complete the Nurse Aide I program. Upon satisfactory completion of the NA I Training program, the graduate is eligible to take the North Carolina NNAAP exam given by NACES. An exam fee of $101 is required. Upon achieving a passing grade, the graduate will be listed as a Nurse Aide I on the NC Nurse Aide I Registry.
Once accepted into the program students will be required to submit a criminal background check and Drug test from https://portal.castlebranch.com/FF25 cost of $61.50. The Division of Continuing Education of FAST TRACK CAREER PREP, INC. recognizes and is fully supportive of clinical agencies that require a drug screen, background check, or fingerprinting on students. Costs of these tests are the responsibility of the student. FAST TRACK CAREER PREP, INC. has partnered with castlebranch.com for these tests. No other provider will be accepted.
Students must also purchase malpractice insurance through Fast Track Career Prep cost of $50.00. A material Kit will be required to enter lab that will include Blood Pressure cuff /Stethoscope, Bath Basin, Bedpan, Emesis Basin, Elastic Stockings, Personal Protect Equipment Skills DVD and Chuck pad. This kit must be purchased from Fast Track Career Prep, Inc. at the cost of $75. All fees are non-refundable except tuition.
*Students will be responsible for Uniform Purchase prior to clinical.
